If you want a cheap alternative and are willing to forego the nicities of the 3 star places then this is the place. No TV and do not forget to turn on the heating as it is not automatic.
It is clean and safe.
Nightlife Tip:
Try not to go out alone in the area as it s pretty dodgy. Avoid large crowds of drug addicts near the streets near the station Frankfurt Main.

Greeted by friendly staff. Room size was definitely smaller than the image seen online. But bathroom shower has no complete enclosure so toilet floor was entirely wet after each shower. Didnt like the wet toilet floor feel.
No change of bath towel during the 3 nites of stay! Disappointed with lack of service even though this may be a hostel but they should be more sensitive to good hygiene for their business traveller during the busy book fair season considering the high room rate we have to pay during this peak period.
Breakfast spread is simple and limited. Nothing fanciful but sufficient to fill you up.
Location is just next to the Red Light District so can be interesting and frightening at times due to certain characters and personalities at such places.
About 20-30mins walk to the Shopping District.
Overall quite an adventurous stay!
Nightlife Tip:
Join the Pub Crawl on either the Thu or Fri evening for a good exposure and experience on the nite scene of Frankfurt Main City.

five elements is downtown, just 3 minutes from central train station.
the stuff is very good, very helpful and efficient. i didn't try breakfast, it is available buffet in as all you can eat menu for 4 euro, it seemed very good offer.
the lobby is a big lively place, for a drink, work on your laptop, or just relax. rooms are big, i can only comment that it is one toilet for males and one for females per floor(about 3-4 rooms) it could be better to have a second one per sex.
in general a good value for money for budget travelers, downtown fankfurt.
