Room was clean and nice. Maybe I was "spoilt" by Asian service standards, I found services were polite yet cold.
I hope the service standards can be improved. After a 13-hour flight to Frankfurt at 8am and another 40 minutes waiting at the lobby for an available room to check in, I was totally exhausted and impatient. (Please take note that I did request for early check-in when I booked the hotel.)However, I still did not expect a reply like "Ma'am, please don't pressurize us." from front desk person when I checked with them again about the available rooms.
I was surprised by the reply and did not know what to say. After another 15 to 20 munite waiting, I finally checked in. I did approach to the same guy and said "Thank you" but I only got a cold "You are welcome".
Since InterContinental is a globally well-known five-star hotel and I really enjoyed my stay at InterContinental in Singapore, I thought the services would be the same around the globe. That was one of the reasons I chose this hotel in Frankfurt. At least, a warm welcome with a sincere smile will make the guests feel like home after a long flight. I did not ask for more, a decent explanation such as "Our staff is cleaning your room now" is definitely much better than "Don't pressurize us".

Great Hotel, Not so Good location.
The hotel is very clean as you would expect from a five star

hotel is very clean and very spacious, the rooms were perfect size, and everything you would expect from a five stars hotel. the staff were not friendly though, they were unwilling to help, kind of snobby, but then again you don't need to ask much from the hotel clerk. wouldn't recommend this hotel just because it is too far from everything, that is everything is not walking distance.

From the North (from Gießen, Kassel, or Hanover): Take the A5 motorway and turn off at the Frankfurt-West junction towards the Stadtmitte / Messe (city centre / trade fair centre), pass the main station until you reach the Baseler Platz. Once here, get in the right-hand lane, drive around the square, and then turn into the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße. From the South (from Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, or Darmstadt): Take the A5 motorway and turn off at the Frankfurt-West junction. Now follow the above directions for “From the North”. From the East (from Munich, Würzburg, or Aschaffenburg): Take the A3 motorway and turn off at the Frankfurt-Süd (south) exit towards the Stadtmitte (city centre); continue along the Kennedyallee to the Stresemannallee. Turn left and drive over the “Friedensbrücke” bridge, before taking the 2nd turn-off to the right for the hotel (signposted “Stadtmitte / car park”). From the West (from Cologne, Wiesbaden, or Mainz): Take the A3 or A66 motorway and turn off at the Wiesbaden junction, driving on towards Frankfurt until you reach the Frankfurt-West junction. Now follow the above directions for “From the North”. If you are already in the Neighbourhood: Please note that Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße is a one-way street. When coming from the main station (“Hauptbahnhof ”), drive around the “Baseler Platz” square before turning left into Wilhelm- Leuschner-Straße. The entrance to the underground garage of the InterContinental Frankfurt is on Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße.
