Very modern and yet thoroughly comfortable, the Neckar Hotel overlooks the banks of the picturesque Neckar River and Odewald Forest.
The location is great for exploring the surrounding areas and it's within walking distance of the main shopping area of Heidelberg. You will find the rooms, and the hotel overall, welcoming, warm and serviceable.Breakfast is included so you can start your day with a hearty German style breakfast before you head out to enjoy the day. The hotel is well situated with lots of nearby sights worth seeing including a plethora of restaurants and the famous "Philosophers Way".
If you get a chance check out the fare at the nearby restaurant: Hemingway's, which is delicious and also on the riverside.

The hotel situated not far from the old city and shops.
I have negative impression for the staying in this hotel. For the not too low price one obtains the features as follows. It is visible that the hotel requires some reconstruction and repair. Old doors and windows, dusty wall-paper look unattractive. Door lock is very simple. Lift has no automatic doors. There are no chairs or arm-chairs in the room at all and one can seat on a bed only. The bathroom is too small. There is dust inside the wardrobe.
