The location is the great - lots of interesting things near by

WE had a bad stay at this hotel. Reception could not find us in the system and a did not want to give us room even if we showed our voucher. They where arrogant and unpleasant and everything took very long time. Result was that we did not manage to appreciate rooms that otherwise would have been considered as good.

The hotel staff was very helpful and provided useful information.
The room was clean, with a cute balcony. Yet the wifi connection was kind of bad.
Restaurant Tip:
The New Acropolis Museum has a wonderful view on the Acropolis in the evening. But it's open on Fridays only.

This is a 4-Star rating hotel and in many aspects it did meet the criteria. Its location for example is perfectly situated in Plaka district next to the pedestrian zone leading to Acropolis. We loved its breakfast buffet, which offered a generous variety of hot and cold items. Staff was responsive and room was a bit worn but adequately clean.
One aspect that this hotel does not meet the 4-Star rating is its bathroom. The paint was peeling off the shower ceiling, mold was built up along the tub wall, and the shower holder was defective. All our towels were thin and worn and smelled musty.
We can still recommend this hotel with the reservation above.

next to Acropolis. Plaka, clean room.

It is a good place to choose when in Athens, next to Acropolis and Plaka so you may enjoy and discover historical site of Ancient Greece. Airotel Parthenon is located in a small, quite street in Plaka where you can easily walk to some well-known tourist sites in Athens and discover the Museum of Acropolis.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Parthenon at the the Acropolis, is just a short walk down the road along with the Acropolis museum. Shopping in the area is not far.

A terrible hotel with no smile & wrong comments

This hotel is terrible and old and the service is poor. This hotel doesn't deserve at all its four stars. The reception only provide touristic infos and is not helpful. When we arrived we had an issue with a taxi and the groom didn't want to help us nor he carried the luggage or/and show us our room (as expected in a 4 stars hotel). The carpet stinks, the A/C is noisy and the dusty ventilation inside the bathroom even more. There is no bung inside the tub so it is not possible to take a bath. The cups soccers are dirty and there are only three TV channels. The price of the small bottles of mineral water inside the fridge is not mentioned, which is tricky. There is also a sample of the sectarian Gedeon's New Testament inside the drawer of the bedside table. You need to borrow the key of the safe from the reception. The breakfast is not good despite the apparent amount of variety: overriped fruits, strange yellow-colored croissants, small cheese and ham portions, disgusting cakes and no veggies. Don't arrive a couple of minutes after 10 am if you don't want to be kicked out of the place, which has a filthy tranlucent plastic roof coated with dirt, mold and dead leaves. You are not required as well to stay over 30 minutes after 10 am if you don't want to endure the same adventure. Don't forget to hang the "Do not disturb" plate on the door if you don't want the housemaid to wake you up early morning. To conclude, this hotel is a trap for tourists.
