it's not really in the center of town,but 5 min. walk to metro station.and this is the only think good about this hotel,nothing else.

Staffs have very bad attitude and very unhelpful,room is filty and old and very noisy from the giant street.

Staffs are very rude and unhelpful,room is old and dirty. We cound sleep any night,and cound wait to get out of this hotel,not to mention breakfast is all canned food,it's horrible. Staffs are hard to approach with a smile,always frowning and bothersome.Do not make a mistake by staying like I did,I wound not recommend this hotel to any one

Travel tip : the worse hotel I've stayed in my life, room is old and filty,big noises from street enough to give you nightmare every night. breakfast is mostly canned foods. Staff are rude and helpless.

Near the metro station. Very clean and spacious. Nice and friendly staff. Air conditioned room. Awesome roof top restaurant with spectacular view of Acropolis!

Noisy because our room faces the street. Not much walking-distance sights around the area

Overall, both my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Apollo Hotel in Athens. It is located on the convenient location (the metro station is only a few minute walk). Most of all, it had a fantastic view of the Acropolis at night time from their roof-top restaurant. Also, the restaurant served delicious food at a very reasonable price. The only weak point was the noise from the street, but it is generally traffic noise which we could mostly sleep through. Also, the area around the hotel was not "touristic" so you have to use the metro to the main plaza.

Hotel Feature Tip : Mussaka (which is apparently hard to find in the non-touristic season) is fantastic and you get an awesome view of the Acropolis

Decent location, good price, breakfast included, air conditioned

Small rooms, street/construction/other guest noise, hard beds

The hotel location is quite convenient for sightseeing - it is within 30 mins. walk to the Acropolis/Plaka and 2 mins. from a metro station. The included breakfast was simple but sufficient. There's a great view of the Acropolis from the rooftop hotel restaurant (though we never ate there, so can't comment on the food quality). The rooms were air conditioned and clean, but quite small and had thin walls so you could hear other guests in the hallways and either street noise in the front rooms or construction noise in the back rooms.
