Central to the Athenian sights this hotel on Syntagma Square provides affordable accommodation and a great view of the Acropolis. Located on the city's main plaza, the Arethusa Hotel is in one of the most convenient positions for sightseers who just have to be close to everything. The Syntagma Square metro services all parts of the city (also the coastal suburbs) and the immediate vicinity offers delis, restaurants, bars and even a Starbucks. The hotel itself provides a comfortable, unfussy environment from which to base travels and features a sunny rooftop garden from which the Acropolis can be marveled at. It's a short walk to the ambient Cafe and shopping area of Monastiraki and Plaka from here, with all the ancient sites of Athens also easily accessible on foot.

The location is great, althought the hotel is in need of a redecoration, especially the bathrooms. I can recommend the hotel to business travellers with lower demands on condition/comfortness, also to travellers with somewhat higher travelling budget since the prince is quite high.
