We booked tours through the hotel (cash only) and could easily walk to the metro or catch the express bus to the airport. We also could walk to the Acropolis and the tourist restaurant and gift shops.

Excellent location, nice room-value for money
clean room with decent size shower area, good breakfast and located very close to the Syntagma Square train station

very comfortable stay, friendly staff and within walking distance of most of the tourist attraction & shopping sites.
Cons-insufficient power points in room to recharge your mobile phone/I-pad, etc.

My vacation or holiday experience in Athens ended up being better than i anticipated based on luck that i chose Arethusa hotel which ended up being in the perfect location (shopping, subway, acropolis, etc). I had no idea where i was located in athens until i arrived and walked around that i realized i was in the heart of the city.

Good location but not secure

The hotel is just across the Syntagma Metro station. From the airport, you could take the Metro and reach Syntagma easily. Room was clean but the heater vent was noisy. The room could not be locked from the inside, and when I raised this concern to the front desk, he ignored my concern. There are many other better looking hotels around the same area.

Nice boutique hotel. Small rooms, but clean and comfortable.
Very close to Syntagma Metro station -- very convenient to go to/from airport.
Also, close to Airport Express bus -- departs from Syntagma Square.
Very loud construction from adjacent buildings. Kept going on almost to 3 AM.
Technically, this is not hotel's fault. But, it was a very annoying problem.
Travel tip:
Use Metro to get to/from airport.

We stayed this hotel for 2 nights with our 1yr daughter.
the room is enough(not small) for our family, have a bath tub.
We also stayed here one more night after our trip to Santorini, however, there's no bath tub in twin room. If you have a baby and need bath tub, we recommend a double room.
good location for shopping and sightseeing.
we enjoyed our staying.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
close to the bus stop to airport, about 5 min. with big heavy baggage.
also not so far to metro. you can enjoy sightseeing from morning to evening.

The hotel is right in the city center, and the location couldn't be better! It is a very safe area, there was police standing around 24 hours. It is right next to a big walking street with many shops,in the heart of Athens. Many places to eat around, and it very close to all the main tourist attractions! The hotel had a good breakfast, the room was big but not too clean. I saw online that they had a nice roof top balcony with the view on Acropolis, but when i went there it was locked. There is a metro station 1 minute away, from where u can easily go around the city or to the airport. I would recommend this hotel if you are planing to stay in the city center for a reasonable price and ok accomodation.
Nightlife Tip:
Many nice bars just 5 min away,close to Monastiraki station.I would recommend Throubi bar,nice friendly place and good coctails!
