8.7
My stay was great. the room was big and spacious. the room had double windows and you didn't hear the noise from the street. Good matress I slept like a a baby.Clean room.I will go back again
Nightlife Tip:
The neighberhood was very bad. It's not wise to walk into narrow streets at night. But this hotel is so close to metro station and in a big street so I always felt safe.If you stay out late, after midnight, get a taxi back

Clean, convenient location
Location was near to Larissa train station, clean
7.7
The service was ok. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to criticize either. The hotel was just renovated so the room was new. It was also clean. It was important that the hotel was near Larissa train station as that train station is a hub for trains and facilitate travel within Greece.

Convenient location and close to metro station, which makes it very easy to go to the touristic attractions. Staff is very nice and helpful. Room is clean and spacious. Would suggest to those who find hotels around the Acropolis etc too pricy.

Arisiton hotel provides excellent services. We ask for a quit room and the lady in the morning is so nice! She provided options for us to see and choose. Also, when we ask about the location of a bank, she pointed out the direction and provided all related information. This hotel is just next to the train station and metro station! The breakfast is quit good.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Choose a quit room in the back

Nice little hotel with very friendly service
Near to metro station. Cosy hotel and not to expensive. Friendly staffs.
7.7
We stayed in this hotel during our last day of holiday. The hotel is a few metro station away from the main tourist area (Plaka, syntagma square etc). Travelling by Taxi is convenient (10mins to syntagma square costs, $4euros) as the hotel is also near to a Train Station.
The staff were friendly and helpful and provided lots of useful information. The room is cosy enough. The hotel is next to a main road and the balcony door could not keep out the traffic noise very well. But the traffic was not heavy and so it did not bother us that much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
IF you do not have a budget, you may want to stay at Syntagma, plaka area so that you do not have to travel by public transport. Leave a day to visit the Acropolis, Acropolis museum in the morning. Then lunch at a local cafe at the Plaka area. Continue with shopping and sight seeing (visiting Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathenaic stadium etc) which are all within walking distance.
Finally in the evening, visit the roof top restaurant of Hotel AforAthens (at Monastiraki) for dinner and drinks while enjoying the beautiful night view of the Acropolis and Monastiraki square

Hotel out of the central core of Athens
Good price, but location inconvenient
7.7
The Ariston is a block from the Larissa Train Station. It is a ten minute hop on the metro from the main core of Athens. The room was spacious and had lots of windows and balconies. The bed was on the hard side. Service was with a smile. Breakfast was basic. Our chief complaint was that there are really no nice restaurants within walking distance. When we asked the staff for a recommendation, they sent us to the Nana Hotel, down the street, where the food was only fair. It might be better at lunch when they cook fresh. At night the choice was extremely limited. The hotel is adjacent to the headquarters of an extremist party and there is a lot of police activity as a result.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We enjoyed the Herakleidon Museum which has a wonderful collection of M.C. Escher and Victor Vassarely. The staff in the gift shop was very helpful and sent us to a wonderful locals' restaurant a block away.
