A little gem in the centre of Budapest
The central location, the friendly staff and the cleanliness
I am happy to recommend this hotel to people like me who want a small, friendly place in the middle of town and have no need for hotel swimming pools, restaurants, etc. all of which are available in abundance elsewhere in the town.

Nice hotel with a few minuses.
Location, quiet, value for money.
Great time, but with small minuses: a terrible sound isolation (hear conversations and snoring through the wall), slow internet.

Great location. Very clean place
close to everything, very clean
We really liked this place. Everything is really close to this place: metro station, all city bridges, amusements, and picturesque places and buildings. Staff is helpful, not annoying. Very- very clean so we felt ourselves like at home. There was a complimentary bottle of wine for us we should it mention :)

Amazing, Great staff, a hidden treasure
A gem, worth seeking out. faultless
Stay at the Mecure (in the same building) for 200 plus euros a night or discover the "museum central" for a fraction of that. This is one of the hidden treasures of Budapest, It is a little hard to find (its only drawback) because it does not have a direct street entrance but this adds to its authentic local charm. It is easily reached from the airport by the metro and the station is a very short walk away and once inside it is truly a home from home. The staff are young, fluent in english and obliging.

Great hotel
Clean, good sie room, good location, friendly staff,
Museum central was an ideal place to stay for a long weekend. It is in a good, safe location, the room was of an average size but because the ceiling was so high it felt very roomy. The room and ensuite were very clean and well decorated with soaps, hair dryer, full length mirror, phone, free wifi and even a complimentary bottle of wine. The windows were triple glazed so street noise was less intrusive. If you're looking for a big fancy hotel with a foyer etc then this is not for you. Museum central has a more homely feel to it but everything you would want for a short break. The staff were very friendly and even looked after our bags for us after we'd checked out. For the money, would definitely recommend this hotel. Don't be put off by the dark stairs - all part of the charm.
