Easily find by GPS. Average city hotel. Seams that the building was planed for another purpose first (residental apartments,..) but transformed to the hotel lately so you do not have real filing like you are in hotel. Apartments are new, nice equiped, large with separate bedroom, big bathroom, big kitchen ....but in very bad condition when we entered the room - TV didn't catch chanels, bad smal came from refrigerator, hair in the tube in bathroom, black hair all over the bed....After we complained they made the room. The best thing is posibility to park car in garage above the building since it is city hotel and location - 15 min to the city center by foot.

Ideal place to stay for easy access to all major sights.
Great room, all equipment to make it a holiday home from home. Could do with new pillows though as they are uncomfprtable and more like a cushion. Rome cleaned and made up every two days.
Great resturants, coffee shops on door step. Theatres, Opera House, Basilica within easy walking distance.
One down side, there is some sort of night club in the road (you can't hear any noise from it) but you do hear some of the patrons leaving it late at night.
Overall though a great place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Buy a travel ticket when you arrive, depending how many days you come for, buy one for your entire stay. Saves any worry about buying single tickets for bus, trams, trains and trolley buses. The cost covers all travel in the Budapest regionon all services. Better than having a fine for not validating your ticket. Have had this happen to us, when we got on tram and didnt stamp ticket. A big fine!!!!

Upon arrival, we were given an old, small room unlike others we knew existed in this block as we'd stayed here before. There was a mouldy smell and damp patch above the shower, the floorboards were coming up, the bed was lumpy, the sink broke, only two lights worked, the curtains blocked out no light. Reception said they could not move us. Shame really as the leisure facilities are really great and we would have liked to keep on visiting this hotel.

We were met by nice and helpful receptionists who gave us information about Budapest and how to get around in the city. They also helped us booking diner at one of the river boats.
The hotel room/flat was over expectations, and even though the hotel is placed near the town center, the room was very quiet.
We had a good time in Budapest and were very satisfied with the hotel and service.

stayed at the city gardens budapest apartment. reception was very helpful when we arrived and when we checked out (they ordered us a taxi). room was secure, good door and lock. good bed and bathroom and included kitchen (stove, fridge, sink etc and dishes etc). bathroom was great. no issues with hot water, noise etc. had some problems getting wireless, including in the lobby. other than that good location a couple blocks off the main andrassy street. a few blocks to downtown, and may be 6 or 8 blocks up to the spa (szechenyi spa)....and heroes square. good location (lots of hostels nearby, and some small bars, shopping etc)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you go to the Szechelyi Spa - great place for a soak and to relax.

our breakfast wasnt included but my wife and i loved the apartment. unfortunately the pool and spa were closed for maintenance. the hotel did not notify us prior to arrival and said it would be open the day before our stay ended. knowing we had sight seeing and the thermal baths to visit we decided to wait. the hotel did not offer no compensation for this. on the 3rd day of our stay a notice stated it would not reopen till after we left. after complaining they gave us 2 passes to the szechenyi thermal bath and spa. my wife loved the apartment service was good but could have been better by offering compensation staight away as amenities werent available or notifying us before hand.
Restaurant Tip:
Eating at local restraunts or buffets can be cheaper than eating at burger king or mcdonalds. Ocktogon bistro had a decent buffet and good price. Menza etterum had high quality food at decent prices. Everywhere beer can cost more than food but wine is usually cheap.

Very good apartment which I will sure recommend to others to stay in Budapest. It's near the metro station in center, easy access to any way in short time. The rooms are spacious & clean, good for self cook too. The staff are friendly & helpful.

we start & end our journey there, both stays was happy with good service & clean room. unfortunately the wifi service was out of service at the 2nd stay, the staff let us use the wifi service provided by the cafe on ground floor instead. although not as convinenent as in room, but at least they offer some service to help.

just great!
the commodity of an apartment within a hotel.you feel welcomed and very close to the centre.incredible location.train station just 5 minutes away on foot

good location.helpful staff. big king bed and kitchen.not good internet connection and not many channels.only in hungarian.I would recommend it to travellers of all ages.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if you want to enter the parliament,you should get up early,they onlyhave tickets for the day,and quite soon in the morning there were no tickets left.
