rather small rooms but nicely furbished. nice english-speaking staff. beautiful roof top wellness center with swimmingpool, lounge chairs and a decent gym. never tried the restaurant (lots of other interesting local options nearby). excellent location in great area within walking distance of most sights and great bars, clubs and restaurants.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wellness centre worths a visit but both swimming pools are on small side. Both of our rooms are very comfortable; one of them is much smaller than the other one, though.

we moved to this hotel after a 3 night stay in another 4 start luxury hotel from a well know chain. no comparison. the details in the room the quality of the huge bathroom, the mazing level of cleanliness made for a terrific experience.
one little treasure hidden in the hotel is the restaurant. while the breakfast looked really good but ordinary high chain hotel style (one of the good one) where things got to a really different level was the restaurant. we tried 8 top restaurants in town. one on the river that we loved, the italian one just across the street (amazing food average pizza ... i am italian and i should know right!) and the restaurant callas just opposite to the opera house, our favorite for food quality was without a doubt the restaurant within the hotel, perhaps not in terms of atmosphere ... a bit cold and impersonal but clearly with a luxurious feel, the food was better than anything else we tried and ..... much cheaper ... dont be tempted by the lunch menu good and dirty cheap but not worth it i think when compared to the selection you have for just a little more
Restaurant Tip:
the restaurant Callas was our favorite restaurant all things considered, quality of food, atmosphere location service, give it a try. I would instead totally pass on the New York caffe´, so so overrated that I have no words for it.

Room is spacious enough, clean. Reception counter is helpful. As my flight time to leave is 4pm, they allowed me to extend my check-out time by 1:00pm.
Restaurant Tip:
Burger King and other kiosk for light local food is available nearby as an alternative choice for dining.

I had a great stay at the Continental Hotel Zara. It is built in a refurbished bath house which makes it both historical, but modern as it has all the amenities you could need from a hotel. Wifi was quick and free and the hotel was in a good location.

this was a lovely hotel in a great location if you like local garden parties and good food. The walk to the danube river was about forty minutes, but the walk was lovely and great chance to explore. The hotel itself was very clean and friendly. very stylish and confortable to say the least. The roof top spa was incredible with a brilliant view over budapest.
