Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal, Budapest

We had a glorious stay at the Corinithian. The grandeur and magnificence of the building was impressive. The staff was immediately welcoming, and helpful, cordial and friendly, in all respects, throughout our 3 day stay. The gave us an umbrella for our use for one day that was a bit rainy. The gave us a converter for our "American" plugs. A magnificent breakfast---the best I can recall in any hotel in the world. Accomodating and professional wait staff---well-dressed and quite effective and pleasant. The hotel offered an early bird breakfast (4:30 A.M.- 6:30), small and limited, but which we enjoyed and for which we were grateful the last day there, since we had an early flight. The spa and pool were great and the pool espeically beautiful and grand. The gym, while small, had weight and stengthening machines much better than most hotels. We had a complimentary upgrade from a standard room, to wonderful spacious two-bedroom, fully equipped apartment with living room, dining room, full kitchen. Plus, we had a price, through Agoda, that was remarkable. For a 5-star, top end experience that we enjoyed, this was a bargain. We could not have been more pleased. Second stay here and it was just as pleasant as the first. Staff friendly, helpful. The spa is really amazing and very relaxing. Easy location for business but also all the restaurants and cafes around. Will probably stay there next time again.

Excellent discounted price from Agoda was just the start. Superb room with oodles of space, wonderful view over the main atrium, sitting area, two wardrobes (his and hers), marble bathroom, ironing board and iron - but most of all for us English - a kettle. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or polite. We even received a free glass of champagne when they found out it was our anniversary. We'll be back for the fantastic spa, which is out of this world.

It has been a great pleasure to be a guest at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal not only for the fantastic thermal bath but also because the services the hotel give are one of the most excellent I have ever experienced. I would like to thank all the staff for the availability the have given.

The positon of the hotel is excellent. The hotel personnel is very professional and kind. Rooms are in an very good condition. Buffet choice (drinks and snakcs) is very good and service in buffet is very professional. Breakfast is very good, food and available drinks. Service in night bar is a little bit slow, could be improved. Price list is OK. Room condition is very good, except room temperature control and beds are too soft. Bathrom is in very good condition. Internet connection is correct and enough fast. At the end, our stay in hotel was very pleasent, and most probably next time myself and my wife are coming back with our children.

From the moment you step through the door there is a feeling of grand luxury. The brakfast is outstanding, the staff polite, efficient and friendly and the common areas simply perfect.

My business travels brings me to many countries globally, including various cities in Europe. The Corinthia in Budpaest is certainly able to match and exceed the standards of other better known brands like the Conrad, Ritz Carlton, Intercontinental, Swissotel, etc.

We booked without knowing that we were "VIP" which gives access to the lounge, with bar and petits fours ... When we arrived, we waited in the lounge 20 minutes, because the check-in was busy ... but with champagne and petits fours, we very much patience ... and we were upgraded to junior suite have waited ... otherwise excellent hotel for a very reasonable price.
