Conveniently situated close to the city center, this hotel is hugely popular with international guests thanks to its ideal location and great service. The hotel features comfortable guest rooms and suites with elegant furniture, large bathrooms and modern amenities. The Danubius Gellert Hotel is located in commercial area of the city and is just a short drive away from popular tourist destination such as shopping malls and many of the citys most famous bridges. There is also a comprehensive business center with meeting rooms and conference halls and the hotel also houses a large swimming pool which is ideal for an refreshing early morning dip.

I was fascinated by the appearance of the hotel when I saw it - very grand and traditional. The hot spring is another attraction of the hotel where I enjoyed a warm and comfortable afternoon and nearly felt asleep there.
I was surprised to find that there is no air conditioning in the guest rooms. Although the temperature was very comfortable the time I stayed there (early October), I doubt whether it would be hot in summer time
Although I just stayed one night at Gerllert, I have a good impression on the hotel. The hotel is grand in its appearance and enjoys a breathtaking view of the Danube River and the Gerllert hill. Another merit of it is the famous Gerllert hot spring where I spent an afternoon there and almost felt asleep while sunbathing. My suggestion to the hotel is that more investment should be put in upgrading and modernizing the facilities of the hotel.

Well kept old charme atmosphere. Professional and friendly staff. Nice and perfectly equipped rooms. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Free access to the Gellert Baths. Good location.
Wrong side of the Danube if you are in Budapest for shopping etc.
This was my third visit to the Gellerts and again I enjoyed it for the lovely feeling of times gone by and for the attentive and relaxed service. The breakfast buffet is one of my favorits. Especially nice is to be able to take the elevator directly to the Gellert Baths. I will come back and I always recommend it to friends.
