Comfortable Hotel in a peaceful location

The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard unusual for a hotel of its type. The spar has very good facilities and you simply must go during your stay as although it is in a separate area, it has underground access and is included as part of your hotel bill.
Nightlife Tip:
Head to Trafic bar on Wednesday night for a great night out with a cool local crowd.

Staff are racistic to asians and they hardly smile

The location is great and peaceful yet walking distance to city senter or short trip by bus or taxi. Rooms are great, bathrooms are good. Aircondition in my room worked poorly.
Breakfast has a lot of option, and was ok tasting.
The problem is the attitude to some forigners like asians. I can understand hungarian so i overheard that staff talked very racistically about some asian guests. This is sadly a problem in hungary generally where many people have nazi or fasistic views as well as belive in conspiration theories that israel are running eu.
Nightlife Tip:
Simpla kert and some clubs around are open all night and are packed with people.

Spacious rooms, the bed was not too comfortable, that is the only criticism I have
Nightlife Tip:
Club Underground at Dohany utca 20 - 22 in the 7th district is a mixed Hetero friendly Gay club with 3 floors : a drag / cabaret show / a disco area/ a professional karaoke area that is open from 8pm - 6 am friday and saturday, during the week it is an excellent restaurant. Friendly, value for money, features a crowd around 20 - 50 years old.

Hotel with an obvious great tradition. The greatest advantage is in the excellent thermal bath, green environment and tranquillity. A good option for a holiday.
Buffet offer is solid, although it could be better, especially with vegetarian choices.

Peaceful hotel to stay
Hotel has a very special location in the peaceful recreational island in Budapest.

Nice hotel to stay and it's quiet good location on a beautiful island but a bit far from downtown. If you would like to eat out then it must be the long walk for you around 30 minutes to get there.The staff at the reception were polite. I did not like the pillow because it was too soft and small for me.Every morning I awoke the always got headache from it.
The toilet is so small and not so convenient.The furniture in the hotel is quite old, the double room was too small.
Overall we love this hotel and it has such a beautiful surrounding around the hotel as well.The breakfast was ok but not so good for me.
Restaurant Tip:
You can walk around 30 mins to the city and there is so many restaurants to eat out over there.You eat like the king but you pay for nothing.

Nicely renovated 19th cent. style; excellent thermal facilities; double building site by connection to modern part. Spacy rooms, big terrace. Good service, friendly.

Grand hotel Margitsziget is top for people who like 1900 old style, combined with access to modern thermal facilities: Steam baths, several pools (biggest 20m long). The area around is a parc without traffic, ideal for children, jogging and walkabouts. In summer, terrace, a beer garden and an outdoor pool are available. Good bus/tram connection to the city, spacious free parking for residents. Price/quality relation for rooming and nutrition is excellent.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try a "Salzgrotte-Session" in Thermal complex; most relaxing, good for respiration/sinus problems!
