if i return to budapest i will definately stay at this hotel. excellent service friendly and helpful staff
hotel was spotless. within walking distance of city centre approx 15 mins.
breakfast was perfect everything you could possibly wish for. we also used room service in evening for a meal and found the meal very enjoyable and reasonable. bar staff did great cocktails in evening nothing was any trouble. staff were always welcoming and pleasant. reception organized our trips and did a perfect job.

Also great location within walking distance to local transport unfortunately, the paper thin walls meant frequent disturbances during the night with very noisy neighbours. Beds & pillows quite hard, may have to request extra linen. Service impeccable, refreshments greatly appreciated

Beautiful 4-star hotel...overall a wonderful stay

It is difficult to find a fault with the Palazzo Zichy. It is located in a peaceful area of Budapest, around 20 minutes walk to the city centre but close to numerous transport options. We walked around to most places as it was really quite enjoyable. The hotel itself is located on a cobble-stone street surrounded by lovely old buildings but is extremely modern and comfortable on the inside. The rooms and bed were quite comfortable, despite having 2 single mattresses instead of one large double as requested. Bathrooms extremely modern with large rain shower heads. The hotel staff were very quick to assist us with any of our requests which was appreciated. Checking in and out was very straightforward and breakfast in the mornings is excllent, with a full selection of hot and cold dishes to suit all tastes. Overall we had a fantastic stay in Budapest and were very happy with our hotel choice.
Hotel Feature Tip:
At breakfast ask the waitstaff for scrambled eggs (or any other special request) and they will have a fresh dish prepared for you by the kitchen staff.

I can unreservedly recommend this hotel. From walking through the entrance the staff were friendly and welcoming , the bedrooms beautifully decorated to the last detail. The breakfast offered a good selection of fresh produce hot n cold choices. Free coffee and water all day. The reception staff were informative and came to our rescue with rip off taxi driver.
In every way the palazzo zichy hotel made Budapest a perfect getaway.
Restaurant Tip:
Plenty reasonable bars n restaurants close by!

Great hotel in good location
Interior design was great, modern but sympathetic to building. Good room. Nice bar. Excellent Mohitos!

Welcome was very warm and friendly whilst being efficient. Reception staff were very helpful with directions, booking taxis and recommendations on places to go. Breakfast was good with a mixture of cooked and continental fare on offer. At times the breakfast room could become crowded but there was the option to have breakfast in your room.
I would definitely return to this hotel and have no reservations about recommending it to others.
Restaurant Tip:
Thoroughly recommend Dunacorso on the banks of the Danube on the Pest side near the Marriott Hotel. We frequented every day. Great wine, beer and food.

my friend and i shared a twin room which was very comfortable. the bathroom was very modern and we needed assistance from efficient staff to operate the shower, they were only too pleased to help. the buffet breakfast was very good, a wide variety of food was available and the self service system worked very well. staff were very efficient and coped well during busy periods to ensure that all tables were cleared and nobody was left waiting for a table. staff were able to recommend places to visit in the limited time we had available, they booked transfers to the airport and even lent us umbrellas when it rained.
