This hotel leaves an impression of a haunted house: it is located in a gothic 100 years old building, and it meets visitors by a door slowly opening and closing by itself. We were given a very spacious suite with more than 5m height ceilings. Our stay was very comfortable: no noise, no dirt, big rooms and kitchen. Highly recommend it.

had a good time there as met many fellow travellers , had free tea and coffee and a well equipped kitchen .and it had no bunk beds which was very nice .only complain i have is that the electricity on my floor died twice but was rectified after i complained. i wanted to stay for another night and was kindly given a better rate than what i paid earlier

I love everything about Maverick. Although they call themselves a hostel, they are really more like a hotel room with twin or triple single beds. If you are travelling with a few friends, this is a perfect choice. I opted for a private single room. There a common living room and kitchen that is really cosy and a great place to meet new people. The staff is a young, enthusiastic team that was absolutely helpful. The location is another factor I could stop praising Maverick about. It's 500m from the main metro station - Ferenciek Square. There's a 24hr grocery store right downstairs. Will definitely stayed here again and highly recommend it.

The best you can get on a low budget. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, quiet right in the centre, at a walking distance to everything.

We stayed as a family (14 people aged between 6-76)and it was better than we expected. Everything was as promised on its website and even more so. Supermarket (open 7/24), bakery,"change" right nextdoor. Public transportation on the spot. A few steps from the Danube, Vaci street, etc. We recommend "Jégbüfé" across the street for breakfast. Fully worth its value.
