Couples Germany, January 06, 2013	good "Accor" chain hotel with friendly staff close proximity to déli railway station (5 min. walk) and castle district (15 min. walk), good value for money ( night) 7.3 good "accor" chain hotel with friendly staff (i spoke hungarian though), close to déli railway station(5 min. walk), red metro line, castle district (15 min. walk) and séll kálmán tér (one metro stop - 10 min walk). hotel a bit aged, but generally clean rooms, would rate it max. 3 stars - not 4 stars, negative: breakfast overpriced for budapest at euro/pp., tram # 18 in front of hotel loud when racing along on uneven tracks, edge of armchair in room dirty, rust on bathroom door metal frame bottom corner (4 star hotel???) but everything else fine - very good value for money at euro/night. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Hike up 15 min. from Mercure hotel to castle district via stairs across the park, visit the local "Trombitas" restaurant at Séll Kálmán Tér ordering their Bogrács Gulyas Soup and a cold Pilsner from Pilzen in the Chech Republic.
Visal L. Couples Cambodia, May 13, 2012	Big old 4-star hotel with affordable price Great location, next to the Metro station 9.3 It's a big four star hotel in Buda side of Budapest. Even though it looks a bit run-down, room is clean. Location is great. It's just right next to the metro station "Deli Palyaudvar" of line 2. It takes only about ten minutes to walk up the hill to get to Mathas Church and Fisherman's Bastion. The free wifi is fast. After all, it's a good value for a 4 star hotel. The only bad experience we had was that there were several noisy guys near our rooms which kept on screaming until mid-night but it may be a one-off happening and not much to blame the hotel. Overall, we were satisfied with Mecure Budapest Buda Hotel and would definitely stay there should we visit Budapest again.

David W. Couples Ireland, April 21, 2012	Lovely hotel with great location Supermarket nearby, cleanliness, free wi-fi, affordable, location. 9 2 min walk to the nearest metro station/trams. Only 10 min walk to the castle district and on the Buda side of the city so a bit quieter. Lots of nice coffee houses within 5 min walk, too. Very clean, nice bar downstairs and friendly staff. Nice city too, would recommend this hotel and city for a nice romantic break but not for children. Very happy overall.... Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: 10 mins from castle district where you can jump on the red/yellow bus tour. Was only about €17 for 2 days and a boat journey up the Danube.
Jean-Luc D. Solo travelers Switzerland, November 29, 2012	Emplacement idéal A deux pas des transports publics 8.3 Depuis plus de 10 ans, je passe chaque année quelques jours à l’hôtel Mercure Buda. Cet hôtel est très bien placé du point de vue des transports publics. Métro (Déli) et tram(18) à 5 minutes à pied. L’année dernière j’avais fait quelques remarques négatives au sujet de la propreté de la moquette de ma chambre ainsi que de la fumée dans les couloirs des étages de l’hôtel. J’ai le plaisir de constater qu’aujourd’hui tout est rentré dans l’ordre. Le sol de ma chambre au 7ème étage était absolument propre (voire neuf) et il n’y a plus de fumeurs dans les étages, une interdiction de fumer dans les établissements publics étant entrée en vigueur depuis lors en Hongrie. Je recommande volontiers cet hôtel situé du côté Buda aux abords d’un joli parc public et à 10 minutes à pied du Bastion, un lieu magique en hauteur, face à Pest et au Danube, d’où l’on a une vue magnifique sur le Parlement et les ponts sur le Danube.

Solo travelers Switzerland, November 17, 2011	Il faut changer les moquettes Emplacement idéal 8 j’ai eu droit à une lettre de bienvenue du directeur pour mon 5ème séjour dans cet hôtel. s’il y avait eu en plus un bon pour une bière au bar cela aurait été parfait ! je suis venu par hasard dans cet hôtel, il y a de nombreuses années et j’y séjourne de nouveau chaque fois que je me rends à budapest parce que je le connais et qu’il est très bien situé du côté de buda, à 5 minutes de la gare du sud et de la station de métro du même nom (dali paliaudvar) et à 2 minutes à pied d’un arrêt du tram 18. par ailleurs j’ai réservé mon séjour par agoda pour un prix très avantageux. l’endroit est pratique, le personnel accueillant et serviable. je dois malheureusement relever trois points qui m’ont déçu lors de mon dernier séjour : - le prix du petit déjeuner (11 eur) que je trouve exagéré - la saleté de la moquette dans la chambre que j’ai occupée. - l’étage enfumé par un groupe de touristes (dont je tairai la nationalité) manquant singulièrement de savoir-vivre.

WIFI ist frei zu empfangen. Die Donau und die Fischerbastei mit vielen guten Restaurants ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Hotel liegt am Bahnhof Budapest-Deli. Von dort fahren alle Züge zum Balaton. Über Agodoa ein sehr gutes Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Frühstück ist mit für Budapest zu teuer. WIFI ist frei. Das Hotel liegt ideal, wenn man mit dem Zug vom Bahnhof Deli zum Balaton fahren will. Für Senioren über 65 Jahre ist die Zugfahrt kostenlos. Man kann zu Fuß zur Fischerbastei und zur Donau gehen, wo es gute Restaurants gibt.

Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist günstig für Abreise vom Südbahnhof (Deli) zum Balaton. Die Bastei mit schönen Restaurants und die Donau kann man gut zu Fuß erreichen. Angenehm ist der kostenlose Internet-Zugang. Das Frühstück ist mit 12,00 € für Ungarn viel zu teuer. Der Zimmerpreis hat ein gutes Preis/ Leistungsverhälnis. Als Stop in Budapest oder für Geschäftsreisen ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Travel tip: Nur 300 m bis zur U-Bahn und zum Südbahnhof.
