Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Great locatio
Wellness area, Breakfast buffet, location'

residence baron is located right next to the vaci utca street (the big shopping street) and the location is very nice, as you are close to most of the things of interest.
the staff was friendly and we got a free upgrade to an excecutive room.
the only problem we had was that the hotel is so warm! in the room it was so hot, and impossible to turn down the heat so we had to sleep with the window open which is not nice in january.
in the breakfast-room it was 27 degrees celsius.
other than that, we had a great stay!
you can book a transfer from the airport for 28 euro. and remember that you have to pay a 4% city tax when you check-out from the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
Szimpla Kert is the best bar ever. And Costes restaurant can not be missed!

Great location and service, rooms compact
Great value for money, hotel breakfast very good. Central location for many attractions and shopping. After initial glitch and change of room, which was dealt with very efficiently, no further issues. Staff pleasant and knowledgable. Although the rooms are small they are very comfortable and cleanSpa pool small but very welcome after a busy day exploring the city. Free Wifi and digital TV great. We ate in the restaurant on several occassions and were very impressed with the quality of the food , wine and service. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Budapest is a great place to visit and offers activities for all ages.
The hotel charges 1 euro for each tea and coffee refreshments after the first day. This seemed to be an excessive charge and we bought ours at a local store.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We visited the Gellet Thermal Spa (just across the bridge) Fabulous day, however you need a swimming cap to use some of the facilities. They sold you a disposible shower cap - Take one from the hotel!!

This lovely boutique hotel offers you everything you need for a city break. The location is just perfect, the room is cosy and clean even though carpeted and the free Internet was a nice plus.
Breakfast was ok and service all in all very friendly. Maybe this is not the best hotel for families with small children and I'm quite happy with that fact.

We stayed in Residence Baron for 3 nights (see my previous review) and liked it. On our return to Budapest 10 days later, we were happy to stay in this hotel again, that says everything.

Small and convenient hotel
8.3
it is at the south end of vaci street, good location, you can go to vaci at any time of the day, central market is on the other side, just across the road. metro station is a little bit far, but tram is very close. rooms are small, but neat and clean, breakfast doesn't offer too many choices though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Central market is very close, go there in the morning (it opens at 7am).

Great location
Right next to the central market
8.7
The hotel is located right next to the central market and subway station. Hotel itself is clean and well kept. The breakfast is so so though, but it shouldn't matter much given the amount of selection near by and across the street at the central market.

Great staff, hotel not as good as it wants to be.
Staff, comfy beds, quiet rooms, great location.
8.3
I really liked this hotel, but it's not the luxury hotel that it aspires to be - it's a tourist class hotel with a paint job and good beds and bathrooms.
I was initially a little pout out because after arriving late, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. The food was great, and the prices reasonable (especially with the 50% discount) except...
Except that I started with a beer after a quick scan over the menu. I asked specifically for a Dreher, which was available on draft for a reasonable price. What I got was a 30cl bottled beer that cost 8,500 HUF. That's about $30. It cost way more than even the most expensive main course that we ordered, even before the discount and was almost three times the cost of the bottle of wine we had with dinner. It put a bit of a damper on our arrival in Budapest.
