Nice Location but overrated !

I booked 2 King size bedroom and apparently one if them was given to another guest who arrived earlier, hotel staff suggested that they will help to put 2 double side by side but i didn't lime e idea. I was too tired to make a fuss so settle for a double room instead. I noticed the numerous awards given to this hotel but I wouldn't pay such prices to stay again as I can find better value elsewhere. It's Overrated in my opinion, only good if u have not much time to drive around Iceland.
Travel tip:
Only if u have not much time...else u will be able to find a better value alternative

great food, nice people
the food is great, hot tub a bit strange to non Icelanders, rooms somehow on the small side

We choose the place because of our rout going south and that bwas a good choixe, staff was very friendly and helpfull, the view from the restaurant was fantastic (not so from the rather small rooms.) Bathrooms are large, wish, I could say the same of the rooms.
Restaurant was very, very good, excellent food, friendly service and also great breakfast. Can only recommand the place and if you are lucky, you might get an extra; The northern light after dinner was a special gift, thanks!
