Nice hotel just outside of city center

The Ashling took good care of me and my gf over St. Paddys day week. Yes it was crowded but the Ashling handled the volume well and none of the services we used suffered. you are very close to the river Liffey, museum and phoenix park. It was about a 35 euro cab ride for 2 from the airport but cheaper than the rail. Most days we took the tram (about a 2 minute walk) to temple bar area but it is walking distance to Heuston station for longer rail trips.

Convenient and very nice hotel
friendly staff, comfortable and easy reach to work and into Dublin city center

I stay here with my wife as hotel is the shortest distance to work.
When we turned up, the receptionist noticed I had room only and offer us a room upgrade if I took up breakfast as well for Eur(X).
It was such a good offer as I intended to have breakfast on the odd days and price is cheaper overall.
The upgraded room was very comfortable, clean and south facing.
Only downside is hotel do not have a gym.

Great location for Heuston Station.
Location across from Heuston; friendly staff.

This hotel is improved over its previous existence as a Best Western. Although it appeared to be nearly full when we were there, reception readily agreed to extend our checkout time to 1:30 - a nice surprise as most hotels in Europe want you out by 10, or 11 at the latest. Has a good, informative website.
