This hotel is not too easy to find - on a small side street, but it's location is easy for taxi drivers, being located a block from Trinity College. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All of Dublin was friendly and easy to get around in, but bring an umbrella! The rooms were of adequate size, and a substantial hot breakfast is included with the room price. A lovely Irish pub is part of the building, and serves light meals as well as the usual great collection of beer, spirits, and friendly patrons. The facility is very clean, with comfortable beds, television and telephones in the rooms. Overall it delivered excellent service and accommodations for a reasonable price.
Excellent location, comfortable rooms, FREE wireless Internet connection, excellent pub on premises and restaurants/shops in same block. Excellent security, parking garage nearby.
Internet was only accessible from the main lobby, which was small for too many people. Access in the rooms directly would be very nice. Our room was near the main A/C units, which were very loud. Leaving the windows open a crack for the cool weather was not possible if you wanted to sleep.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Everything is really in walking distance (2-3km) of the hotel. The Guinness 'factory' tour was not very interesting, unless you nothing at all about making beer. The Old Jameson Distillery tour, on the other hand, was very informative, interesting and entertaining. There are many fine churches in the area to view, as well as Trinity College, which could take a day by itself. Get a street map with the main attractions identified (available from the front desk) and just walk around. Everything is closer than you would think by U.S. standards for city size. Taxis and bus service are readily available if you prefer, or just for the return trip from a walking tour.
