hotel staff very profesional, hotel has nice location, rooms are just a wright size for 3 stars hotel, there is a coffee, tea maker, and hotel is clean. Took advantage of a gym - free of charge. Breakfast is very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
hop on hop of bus leaves near hotel, excellent value for money, easy to move around.

Great value for the location

Cassidy’s is in a central location, on Upper O’Connell Street, so it is easy to walk everywhere from there, which is why we chose this hotel, we only had one night so location was important. We also needed a triple room as we were 3 adults, i had assumed we would be given a room with a double bed and a single, but we actually had a double and two proper singles in the room (not a camp bed) which was great. The room was a good size too, even with three beds in it. It had a kettle with plenty of tea and coffee, no fridge but we did not expect it for the price. The bathroom also had a bath which I was not expecting, and decent lux/dove shower cream, and a hairdryer. We looked on to the front and there was a little traffic noise as you would expect but nothing that kept us awake.
Our room was at the very end of a corridor, the corridor was very warm, but we had to go through a fire door at the end into a lobby that led to our room, and that area was very cold. Even with both radiators on in the room our room was still a tad chilly ( fine for October but I wonder what it would be like in December). I think we were 232 (or 322?), just past the ‘ironing room’ (which we did not use but is actually a good idea). Our bathroom had some damp on the ceiling, which is probably because there seemed to be no air extraction from the bathroom, if they sort that, then I would have no complaints about the hotel, I think we were probably unlucky with the room as everywhere else was fine.
We did not eat in the hotel but breakfast looked good. Staff on reception seemed to work very hard, and were very knowledgeable.
Overall great value, good location, and for that price I would stay there again (but in a different room).
Restaurant Tip:
Market Bar is great for dinner (no bookings)
