Dublin Kilronan House
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location walking distance to downtown, great breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at Kilronan. Someone actually told us on the plane that it was a good ways out from downtown, but it turned out to be a very nice walk through Steven's Green and then into the walking streets. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They helped us with reservations and just made us feel at home.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do the Walking Tour of the Viking Area. The guides are amazing and extremely fun and informative. It was much more interesting that than hop on and hop off tour although that is good also.

Staying at the Kilronan Hotel Dublin
Staff friendly and keen to help you.Willing to lend out guide books and able to give advice on buses.Presentation and preparation of breakfast on second moerning was better and therefore more than acceptable.

A friendly,clean hotel but do not expect any luxury here.Quite basic.Even if just staying overnight bring your own shampoo and shower gel.Pictures for the publicity on the hotel flatter it greatly.More staff needed when busy.Decor dated and gloomy in parts.Quality and presentation of breakfast available variable according too how busy the dining room was.Amount of choice for breakfast was good.If you don't mind walking the situation of hotel good for city centre and The Ballsbridge and canal area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you wish to see more than Dublin city centre walk from the hotel into the Ballsbridge area.Nice canal area with good pubs and not so busy setting and plenty of Georgian houses.
