The Boscolo Towers Hotel is four kilometers from the historic city centre and main railway station. It is also just off the Motorway A1 and is close to a bus stop. Decent business style hotel
Good rooms, car parking, easy to find.

The hotel is a fair way out of the centre of town right on the motorway.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go right into the centre of Bologna, it's an industrial town but the old bit in the centre is great.

Lovely with helpful staff but lacks personality

The rooms are spacious offering comfort and cleanliness for particular visitors. I selected the hotel because it had free internet access and although initially had a few issues trying to connect to their network - it was extremely useful!! Also tried the restaurant and this was quite expensive but the food was exquisite!!
They are probably more a business orientated hotel and it became a little costly travelling to and fro to the city centre via taxi, bus service is sparse and even for the adventurous traveller can be complicated to work out to get to the centre of Bologna.
The sky channels didn't work and I just couldn't be bothered to complain after the issues with the cabled internet access (ports in the walls were faulty) took three calls and a visit to the reception to finally get fixed.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Was lucky to get standby tickets on the day to go to an evening performance of a live piano concert by a young talented Italian called G. Guarrera in a beautiful old Church with amazing acoustics - Magnifico!! Try the tourist office in the main square for interesting planned events in the city - You never know - you too could be lucky other wise book in advance.
