Visitors to the 50 rooms at Balestri Hotel will be captivated by the ideal location on the river within easy walking distance to nearly everything. Not only is it near the popular sites, but the rooms on the higher floors even have excellent views of Duomo and the Ponte Vechio. Guests have the added bonus of being able to take romantic and scenic strolls along the Arno River through the historic locations of this famed city, perhaps stopping at one of the quaint wine-bars that grace the waterfront. The staff speak fluent English and have proven extremely friendly and helpful in the past. All things considered, this is one of the better hotels in central Florence.

Good location to the best sights and attractions.
Room's pretty simple setup.
The hotel faces the river, which is fantastic cause it's always a nice stroll to take in the evenings there. It's also very close to the main attractions like the Duomo (appr. 15min walk), yet not being affected by the buzz of the maddening crowds of tourists.
