An excellent small hotel near the historic sites, La Residenza Hotel features 21 rooms decorated with Florentine furniture and cotto floors. All the major sites can be reached in less than 15 minutes by foot including the famous Duomo. Fans of shopping will be in heaven because many major designers including Prada have stores located on the same street as the hotel. Dining options in the area are numerous and one of particular note is L'Osteria di Giovanni which has earned the hearts and stomachs of their patrons on the way to becoming one of the most popular restaurants in the entire city (reservations are recommended.) With a great historical location, friendly staff, and reasonable rates there is little reason to look any farther than here!
