The people who run the hotel were so accomodating and funny. They gave me a bottle of Asti Spumonte brought to my room for my birthday and even gave us the "Presidential" suite at no extra charge! The rooms are exquisite and it is 5 minutes from the Duomo and the river. There was nothing I could complain about. Well, ok, I was a bit surprised I had to buy time on the computer, but it was only $5 for 30 minutes, not enough to be considered a con. 5 of us flew into Florence and met at the Hotel Paris and we all loved it. The guys were so funny and helpful, especially the manager. Their breakfast was exquisite, the windows open to the brisk Italian morning air. It is a perfect location, you can walk to all the shops, the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio.
SUGGESTION -- take tours, even if you are going to Tuscany. Driving in Italy is ridiculous, there are so many signs and all with arrows pointing in strange directions. Getting lost was a daily event. We had a GPS which broke on day 2 and it was awful from that point on.
Definitely go to Cinque Terre by train. Magical.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurant right across the street from the hotel is fantastic! We ate their twice it was so good.

Good location. Compact, easy to understand. Little older facilities. AV equipment is weak. To be leaking. Overall judging, maybe things like this ... is. Front desk staff and get familiar, friendly look. People like to have a vintage feel, be happy.落Chitsukemasu take breakfast restaurant.
Travel tip : Depending on per room, the sound of bells and the sound of the bus, could not sleep ... too slow.
