A surprising find
Spacious rooms, close to historic centre, very hospitable

At the end of winter, Hotel Balbi was warm, spacious and an easy walk to sights of Genoa. A bit tricky finding it by car as up one-way street and pay-parking about 1/2 further up hill, it was no fun dragging heavy bags up stairs to 3rd floor but once there, the hosts were very welcoming, relaxed and friendly, and helpful with information. Lovely breakfast was also good value. We enjoyed our brief stopover in Genoa very much.
The frescos on ceilings in room were nice bonus.
