Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Comfortable and big room; good location (near metro station); esay to find

The hotel has a good location for young travelers. It is quite near Zara station, 10 minutes by metro to Duomo. Do not have pay for the internet but time is limited for 2 hours. The bathroom is very nice.

Truly amazing value for money
Price, location, square footage, shower
8.3
spent 3 nights in hotel gala on a weekend away with a friend (where's that 'traveler type' option?). only paid 46 euros for a double room per night (so €23 pp, thank you agoda), which is way underpriced, especially for milan. my stay was very comfortable and practical and if i ever come back to milan i would use the hotel again.
the nearest metro station, marche (the new m5 line, opened february 10th) is no further than 20 meters from the entrance of the hotel. you'll be in front of the duomo with one change (to m3, on zara) within 20 minutes from leaving your room, which is great. the neighbourhood is quiet and because there's a garden in front of the hotel you've got quite a bit of privacy. metal window shutters outside both windows protect your belonings from burglars and your eyes from any and all sunlight in the morning.
the heating works very well (and so does the blowdryer, for once a hotel blowdryer that doesn't feel like a soft gust of wind). the lighting is plenty and warm, the shower is amazing and the towels are huge, the rooms are quite spacious and clean, and the beds are old but i actually slept very well on them. the rooms come with a nice twoseater couch and a bidet. the free wifi works very well.
downsides were that the elevator was the smallest i've ever seen (not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers) but the hotel doesn't have a lot of floors so the stairs are very doable. breakfast is cheap (€3) but only offered from 7.30 till 10 and we always left the hotel before that time. the bathroom didn't lock.
not recommended for children or relaxing weeklong stays, and you obviously should not expect luxury for that price.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a restaurant located right next to the hotel grounds but we didn't use that one because it didn't look so swell. Go to your right when you're in front of the hotel and walk 200 meters and on your right hand side you'll find La Regina (Viale Zara 73) which is a simple and cheap, but oh-so delicious Italian restaurant with fast service and a kind staff.

Good location small sower.
Good breakfast, toothbrushes etc is provided in bathroom. You can park your car for free at nearby streets.

The elevator is really fast, the door just closed and opened and we thought we were still in first floor when we were actually on second floor. We didn't find any rooftop swimmingpool as in a review on booking.com, but we found a bathtub on top floor which was the closest to swimmingpool we found, unless you want to swim with the fish in the aquarium at entrance. The TV has satellite channels including pay-per-view channels.

Grazie mille Hotel Gala
The location is near Milano Centrale train station and you can directly go in front of the hotel using tram no.5
9.7
I've stayed in hotel Gala for 2 nights with my friends 2 weeks ago.
It was snowy day in Milano when we stayed in the hotel and the heater inside our room is warm. There are many variety choices of breakfast and you can take water/juice outside the hotel. The staff speaks english very well and the location is near Esselunga supermarket if you need something to buy.
The hotel is warm and yes, I recommend this hotel to everyone who want to visit Milano.

heartful service, enjoy staying there
the staff there provide very thoughtful service, family feel.
8.3
the staff are so nice, the breakfast is good for a 3-star hotel, lots of choices.don't expect excellent chained hotel -like quality but a warm family run b&b. the place is clean for a old building,i stay for 4nights,they clean up room everyday, change the towel, can smell the cleanser eveyday back room.the only cons is there are mosquito in room. when i leave, they even give us a small gift!
Hotel Feature Tip:
Tram no.5 from central station is more direct to b&b than metro.

Very nice staff, cheap but low quality
Cheap, friendly and helpful staff, big rooms

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend. As stated above, it was cheap but you got what you paid for. The breakfast was poor and the double was just two single camp-beds put together so I couldn't sleep in the middle. Not the best location but overall I recommend it if you are on a low budget.

Basic hotel with lukewarm service.
The price is relatively low in Milan.

The hotel is basic and clean, but the breakfast was really poor and disappointing. I had the worst coffee- both Cappuccino and American coffee - in my life! The walls between rooms are quite thin, so it's easy to hear noise from outside.
