5 mins walk to main train station,

I stayed in Mercure hotel because it's an international brand and i thought this would then live up to some standards. It did not. The room was not maintained very well and the bed was very old and lived.
I stayed on this location because it's just a quick stop for me, but I would definitely not recommend this area. It is close to the railway station and not the safest place to be in the evening.

Conveniently located hotel with comfortable rooms
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wifi access was fast in the room and free of charge. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

unlike all other available hotels/ motels near the central train station (garibaldi) this hotel was located alone on the other side of the station (7-9 min walk). the train station area was a bit crowded, filthy, and loaded with street hawkers and strangers. the hotel itself does not have its own parking but had assigned us to one 300 meters away (open 24 hrs.). room size okay with typical "mercure" style business hotel setting. just a little noisy whenever a train pulls into station.
