The old English-style garden hotel has 33 tastefully-decorated guestrooms and is situated on a quiet street near the Piazza Repubblica. The Astoria Garden is located in the historic area of the city, and close to many points of interest and cultural attractions, like the Termini Station, Opera House, Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Trinita dei Monti, Coliseum, Roman Forum and the Pantheon. After a day of exploring, guests can relax in the courtyard garden, filled with Mediterranean plants. The onsite restaurant features traditional Italian cuisine. The hotel is ideal for guests who want elegant accommodation close to Rome's many attractions.

I think the hotel is okay. It's clean, quiet with breakfast buffet. The staff is basically nice, and speak good English. The location is good, from the train station. However, the station is so big. Make sure you go out from the right side. Or, it still takes a long walk to the hotel.

i stayed in rome five days and find astoria garden well located when using train to the airport. termini area is a bit shady, but hotel is located a bit sideways. there is walking distance for most of the sightseeings, and you can take a metro to vatican. my room was small, but enough for one person. the best part is that there is french balcony to the lovely garden, which i think is nice during summer. breakfast is nothing special, but well enough.

Hotel was great, the front desk staff were very knowledgeable and happy to help, with restaurant recommendations (and not just the touristy fare) and public transport bus routes. The buffet breakfast included was very good, lots of great tasty options and all very fresh. Hotel rooms were small but that's to be expected and were more than comfortable, and with hot water at all hours and wifi in the room, although you get the first hour free then you pay either by the minute or a set rate for 24 hours access which we hadn't realized before we arrived.
Located about 5 mins walk from Termini station meant we had our pick of trains, buses and both metro lines when we needed to get anywhere which made things very easy.
