Great place, staff is very nice and helpful. Only complaint is bathroom is very small and even though the hotel is on a small one way street, street noise can be heard in the room even though we were on the fourth floor.

this is a lovely hotel, with easy access to all parts of rome. our room was comfortable, bathroom tiny but adequate and we were able to see the colosseum at the end of the street from our room. staff friendly and helpful. we ate at the hotel on our first night, the food was good and we got alot of advice from our very friendly fellow guests.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you vist the Vatican, go with a tour, you get to miss the long queues and enjoy the company of a very knowledgable guide.

the friendly and helpful personal and the convenient location are what convinced me to take the time write my first ever review, of anything. from the car that was sent to pick us up at the airport to the helpful local insight, which was shared in perfectly understandable english, i can say that this is a great hotel in a great city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bus 87, which stops 2 blocks from the hotel takes a rout that get you to a lot of interesting places and opportunities to transfer to other methods of public transportation.
Be sure to visit the "Monti" neighborhood, an easy walk from the hotel.

Not so great location with poor lighting in room

The room was just OK. the problem was the poor, glaring overhead lighting, which never enhances a hotel room. The Lancelot should seriously consider installing less oppressive lighting fixtures. All else was adequate except for the location -- the Colisseum crowds and the building itself added half an hour to any walking excursion.
Restaurant Tip:
Cantina Cantarini on Piazza Sallustio is our favorite trattoria in all of Rome, and Nello Pieretti is our favorite waiter.

Very cosy hotel with nice room with a small balcony and very attentive and helpful and positive staff. The location is also very good, with Colloseum just nearby and also plenty of bars and restaurants in the same area. Clean and good rooms. And also the breakfast was very good. Will definately go back!

We had a fantastic time. The hotel is excellent for the price, one of the best I have stayed in at this rating. Staff are fantastically helpful - don't hesitate to ask anything. Breakfast was great and the location is superb, about 4 minute walk to the Colloseum. We didn't try the hotel evening meals, preferring to work our way through the 5 or so local restaurants - all good. The only very minor issue was that the room air conditioner was not quite up to the job - this was pretty minor.

great hotel on a quiet sidestreet by the colloseum

Choose this hotel since it was close to the Colloseum and reasonably priced. We arrived a bit late since we had flight cancellations and reschedulings. When we arrived they treated up great. They could see that we were exhausted after over 24 hour of traveling that should have been 9 hours. They quickly collected our luggage and whisked it up to our room. The bathroom was large for Europe and the shower had good pressure and good range of temperature.
Once we recovered and were fresh again we went out for something lite to eat. I had a restaurant recommended by a coworker and the front desk was more then willing to give us a map with the correct directions on it and also call to confirm availability. Since we were close to the colloseum it was great to be able to enjoy it in a types of lighting.
The only suggestions I would give to other travelers would be to make sure you have a feel for where the hotel is located and what the outside looks like before you arrive since it is on a quiet sidestreet, it is behind a gated wall and on a one way street so the taxi drivers may not be able to get there easily or know where it is.
