The exquisite 62 room hotel comprises two adjacent 18th century buildings and overlooks the Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore. Located in the historical centre of Rome, the Mecenate Palace Hotel is right in front of the Basilica of St. Mary Major, and close to the Roman Forum, Dioclecian Baths, Colosseum, Opera theatre and Spanish Steps. The Roof Garden Restaurant serves interregional cuisine and has a panoramic view of Rome, especially the bell tower of Saint Mary Major Basilica. The first building, the Rinaldi, was built in 1887 and second building by Carlo Alberto was built a few years later. Renovation work was carefully planned to restore the building's fa�ades and interiors to their original splendour.

Near the station. Near Santa Maria Maggiore. Everything is close, in walking distance. The location is very convenient, from the station 5 minutes walk. Dear staff. Good breakfast on the terrace on the roof, very nice. Number went in another building, with a touch of lack of novelty, but very nice. Metro nearby. Until all the major attractions on foot not far away.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The morning at 8 am You can attend mass at Santa Maria Maggiore.
