San Marco Hotel Rome Info
A short walk from Roma Termini, this is an elegant hotel in a prime inner city position. A block from the German Embassy, the San Marco Hotel is in a secure and convenient location for visiting the sites of Rome. The neighborhood is quiet and gives visitors a good sense of authentic Roman life, the surrounding shops and pizzerias commonly full of locals and abundant in cheer and ambience. Rooms at the San Marco are large and high of quality, with soft-furnishings in warm earth tones and the added comforts of a sitting area, LCD TV and as-new tiled bathroom. When not exploring Rome, guests can sink into one of the tufted leather club chairs in the TV lounge and bar area, or make use of the hotel�s discount cards redeemable in local restaurants.

A return is possible. The three-stars are justified.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Because we walked very long distances on sightseeing trips the actual location of the hotel is not very crucial. Very near is a Metro station if needed. Close to Roma Termini railway station is helpful on arrival by plane.

Beautifully decorated, rich and good breakfast, very friendly staff, clean, very good transport links with Termini station (1km) or metro Porta Pretoria (100m), still relatively quiet. Reception 24 hours a day.
Breakfast room was sometimes very full, hence, the waiter (only one!) With the clearing does not, there was a place on waiting times and sometimes empty bowls. But it was always rel. quickly resolved. Treppenhaus somewhat shabby. Only dt. program RTL2
Questions ans staff were always very nice answers.
Restaurant Tip : Tip (from the hotel) for dinner, walking near the hotel: Pretoriana! Not pretty, but unique with delicious food, friendly hosts and good prices.

location - near the train station, clean comfortable rooms
in suite yahoo flushing toilet
for one trip stayed at this hotel twice. the first time - a standard double room, no complaints. the second time - suite, large spacious, but the toilet is extremely unfortunate, and in TV programs is no sky, that is, or see their local channels, or buy a package of services 12 euros. The hotel has a Russian officials, which is very convenient for speaking Toll on in Russian. next time stop there is likely.
