Nothing to complain about
Perfectly located, comfortable, clean
A pity that water pipe burst in my hotel room and I was relocated to another hotel. The staff was friendly.

A modern hotel not to be missed
Convenience, Location, Cleanliness
Undoubtedly an excellent choice for those looking for a clean, new hotel near to everything in the City of Rome. Fabiana at the Reception was helpful on Wifi connection (small sheet provided) and provided me a free map for tourist hot spots. She also explained about the options for public transport. Like other hotels in Italy, you need to pay 4 Euros per night as an added tax – so check before booking. Check-in was fast-and-easy: sign acknowledgement form, get key (for room door; air-conditioner and lights are usable without key), then you are set. They need you to leave keys with Reception (opened 24 / 7) whenever you’re out. This hotel is centrally located in Rome; few steps away from Roma Termini (trains) and the Metro Termini (buses). Taxi drivers can recognise this place easily. Nearest to the hotel: Basilica & Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore; Piazza dell’ Esquilino. The Metro Termini allows you to navigate the city easily fast / safe: Colosseum; Pantheon; Roman Forum; Trevi Fountain (go eat a gelato!); Spanish Steps (too crowded!); Piazza Navona; St Peter’s Basilica; Sistine Chapel; Castel Sant’Angelo and Galleria Borghese. Roma Termini allows you to take trains to Firenze, Pisa and other areas outside Rome. There were at least three Italian power plugs; beds were made daily but linens not changed daily; double room consists of two single beds combined; mirror + toilet tissues + hair dryer + shampoo + soap + vanity kit + towels provided in my ensuite. The water pressure / temperature are great and the shower head is detachable for children. No fan in room. No in-house laundry facilities, but can be directed to nearby services. Basic breakfast: fruits, yoghurt, pastries and hot beverages (but staff at breakfast room unfriendly). Elevator is slightly scary – something you see in old buildings in France (e.g. Amelie). This is a new, clean and modern hostel with friendly members of staff; ideal for exploring the city by walking / public transport. Enjoy Rome!

Scott House Hotel Rome
Location, Cleanliness, Comfort
Located very close to Rome Termini (main central station). It is an ideal base for anyone who wishes to explore Rome. Less than 5 minutes walk to central station where Metro and Buses are. My wife and I stayed there one night, and we arrived early in the morning, and placed our bags in their storage and checked in in the afternoon after some sightseeing. Staff was very well mannered and spoke English really well. Rooms were clean, and I think the hotel was recently renovated. Overall good short stay. Would stay there again when visiting Rome.
