Decent location but not your usual hotel.

The manager of the place emailed us a few days before to ask us when we were arriving and if he could organise a taxi for us (which we gladly accepted).
Overall the place was in a top location, only about 25 minute walk to the Colosseum and right on top of the Spagna steps.
Breakfast is a very small affair so don't expect much. My only gripe is on the day of checkout after telling us it was 11am, I get a knock on the door at 9am asking for the keys back because he had to use them for another room. Having just woken up, I stupidly gave him them, not realising I still had stuff in the safe and also had to go down for breakfast and then back to shower and pack up. There was about 4 doors to unlock in this process and obviously it made it impossible.
We'd planned our day around checking as late as possible as we had a late flight, this sort of messed things up a bit for us.

Paolo - went above and beyone!

When we arrived at the Townhouse our flight had been very delayed so it was past midnight and yet Paolo was still there to greet us with a smile. Worst still our luggage hadn't arrived and Paolo diligently tried to track it down over the following days so we could go out and enjoy Rome. He went above and beyond the call of duty! Also the Townhouse is stylishly decorated and in a wonderful location.
