this hotel was quite ordinary to what i've been used to before. compared to other italian hotel i have no experience, so can't tell. the room meny was quite terrible, however not nescessary to use and very few english channels on the tv. however i found a small restaurant in the street behind the hotel called "angelina". this was a small seafood speciality restaurant, and absolutely great! wonderful food, wonderful service and real fun to just sit and enjoy the local atmosphere! i may use the hotel again only because of this small restaurant!

Nice hotel, good breakfast, wifi problems

this is the second time i stayed here this month and the room was nice, breakfast was good though wish they would be able to serve pancakes/waffles. however, the internet connectivity was very bad in room 422. when it worked, it was fast but the connection kept dropping every 20 minutes. on the fifth day, the connection was out in the hotel completely. thereafter, for the last 5 days, it didn't work in the room at all. had to go down to the lounge to work. very disappointed about that.

This is a beautiful hotel across from the water and near the town square. Everything about this hotel is wonderful, from the high ceilings, beautiful decor, large room, modern bathroom, wonderful breakfast, and friendly service. This is a perfect hotel for your visit to Trieste.

Class act on the sea front

this is a stylish hotel with very helpful staff. we had actually stayed two days earlier (with an excellent trip to ljubljana in between) and they helpfully stored most of our luggage and upgraded us on our return to one of their wonderful bedrooms with balconies overlooking the sea. if you can get one of these rooms they are stunning and very spacious - almost suites. breakfast is fine and the staff eager to help although at times they are slightly overwhelmed by conference groups. it is perfectly positioned for the sea front, the bars and restaurants in the warren of little streets in the old town and the shops and coffee houses of the new town. a great place to stay for a few days in the fascinating and underrated city of trieste.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the stylish 30 minute ferry to Muggia from just across the road. It's a gorgeous little Venetian harbour village on the Slovenian border with cute restaurants and ice cream parlours.

it was a perfect stay,we did enjoy and will come back, the location with the sea view was fantastic. great start point for shopping and touristic tours. in the evening lots of activities nearby and good restaurants. staff was nice and friendly. we recommend to get private parking, costs extra euro but it's safe and parking on the street in summer season is not easy.the lobby is beautiful and library is very peaceful for relaxing. breakfast was good with varity of choices.

We had two double rooms for single use but calling them rooms with their separate sitting room would be understating them. The hotel of choice for the rich and famous; actor Jeffrey Rush and Juventus football team were there while we stayed. What a fab stay and Trieste is accessible and easy to get around
Travel tip:
We took the bus in from the airport to town and a taxi from there.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet. Die Renovation hat das Hotel bestens überstanden. Mehr noch: die Kombination mit dem modernen Mobiliar und der extravaganten Beleuchtung putzt das Haus so richtig raus. Wir werden wieder hin gehen.
