This ancient family home of the doges Contarini has been carefully transformed into 10 separate guestrooms that are near enough to everything in Venice. Of course visitors want to be near the main attractions of Venice, but guests here will be happy to know that it is far enough away from the crowds to still maintain a peaceful environment. The first cathedral in the area (San Pietro di Castello) is nearby, as is the ancient Arsenale (dockyard) and the Venice Biennial exhibition area. The Naval History Museum (Museo Storico Navale) is very close and is one of the less visited, but no less spectacular, tourist attractions. A comfortable and quiet stay at a comfortable price, Corte Contarina Hotel is a worthy choice for Venice.
