My daughter and I have just spent 5 nights at this wonderful hotel. It is a four star hotel, and situated on The Lido. A 10 minute water bus ride from mainland Venice. This is not a problem in fact it is a great advantage. The hotel runs a regular free service to and from mainland Venice, and it is such a relief to get away from the masses of tourist, The hotel is situated in its own beautiful gardens which has a pool and is also right opposite to the private beach (you just cross the road) The hotel itself is steeped in history and quite famous. It was built during the 1900's and has also been used for some films like Death In Venice and The English Patient. Although the Hotel is old, it is in the immaculate condition. The service is incredible and the breakfast room is such a delight. You could actually spend all day there just admiring the views. I can strongly recommend this Hotel and cannot wait to return.
