The eight-room Venetian hotel is richly designed with marble floors, antique hardwood ceilings and rich drapes, and faces the boat buses.
The Hotel Vecellio is situated at Fondamenta Nuove, which is the long promenade on the north side of Venice. Directly facing the boat buses, guests are provided with quick transportation to the other islands, as well as to the railway station, the parking lot of Piazzale Roma and the airport. It is also close to the home of 16th century painter Titian Vecellio, which adds to the atmosphere of the quiet residential area. The service is great. Very friendly. Room is big. Clean.
First thing i noticed was the owner and the staff were very friendly. They helped us in any way they can. The building is old (same for all the building on the island). The room and bathroom were big and clean. TV is quite small. But i didn't go there to watch TV. Breakfast is OK. Not great but good enough for me. Good location near boat-stop. There were direct boats to airport or near by islands from there. It was out of central tourist zone. But easily accessible to everywhere. About 10-15 min walk to Piazza San Marco if you follow the way in the map given by hotel. The restaurant they recommend is quite good and reasonable price. Highly recommended.
