Located in the heart of Riga's business and financial district and just two kilometers to the old town, this hotel is convenient to everything.For business travelers the hotel offers a great location, while for leisure travelers it is very convenient to explore the various attractions of the central city or the old town with their shops, restaurants, museums, art galleries, and theaters.The hotel is in a very nice are close to the US embassy and only a 10 minute walk from the bus and train station stations.Visitors are urged to try the sauna on the top floor of the hotel with glass windows along one side providing a splendid view over the city park and the esplande.

Location is good. Walking distance from the old city but still in a very quiet location near the park.
Rooms are somewhat old and could use some upgrade.
Riga in becoming more expensive even though the Latvian economy is going down very quickly. Not much to do unless you're on business
Nightlife Tip : There are too many tourist traps in Riga. Try to avoid places unless you got a recommendation from a local

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel is about 1 KM from the central train and bus station. If by taxi and meter, it cost Ls 2.40 only. However, all the taxi drivers asked for Ls 7.00 and one even asked for Ls 10 for the short trip. We visited during Euro 2008 but the hotel did not subscribe to the channel. As a result, I went to a bar to watch it.
