The hotel room looked pleasant enough during the day but once the sun set, "they" came out the nooks and crannies, spinning their sticky webs over the bed, the shower, the curtains, the walls. This hotel should be renamed "Spiderville". There were in the magnitude of 20+ spiders which came out at night. Now these weren't your common docile sit-in-the-corner type of spiders, but the big scary active run-around-the-room type. It was truly a scene from a horror movie.
We did our best to remove as many of them before going to bed but inevitably I woke up with one crawling on my arm and I couldn't sleep after that.
We were booked to stay another night but there was no way we wanted to experience the horror again. The hotel did kindly let us off though and we were free to move on. We moved on to Park Inn Hotel instead which, though quite far from town, was at least very clean and modern. And not a spider in sight...

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kaunas is rough and I would not recommend anyone come here for a holiday. There are plenty of much better old towns such as Krakow in Poland.
