Aalborg hotel has vintage styling and is located in a lively residential area, making it a great way to discover the real Amsterdam. Budget conscious guests can pay a fraction of the price of central hotels but still reach all the main tourist attractions within easy walking distance including Dam Square and the nightlife scene. Recently renovated rooms display a more modern approach with light wood floors and vibrant colors, and are available up to triple or quadruple rooms, some with balconies. Public areas are equipped for complimentary Wi-Fi and hearty breakfast buffets are served in the inspiring restaurant.

Very friendly staff. Good location for RAI conference. Easy walking distance to attractive canal side restuarants. Free wireless internet connection.
Single room very small. Noisy on front due to traffic and inadequate soundproof windows. Very hazadous bath/shower arrangement. Seems not to be one or the other. Half size bath with slope which makes it actually difficult if not dangerous to stand in!
On the whole I was happy with this hotel mainly because the special offer price was good. the staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bath/shower arrangment was the worse thing about it. They really should simply replace it with a good shower cubicle. I am sure someone will have a serious injury if this persists.
Restaurant Tip : South African cuisine restaurant right and immeadiate right again just around the corner from the hotel.
