superb location comfortable stay

The location of this hotel is incredible. Within walking distance to and from Amsterdam central station, madame tasaurds, Anne frank house, dam square and even the heineken factory if you can be bothered walking just a little bit further. Good canal tours and plenty of affordable and pleasant restaurants. The breakfast was a little average but Im not one to complain about a free feed. The best part for the shoppers is there is the hotel backs onto an awesome selection of shops. Heaps of shops. We did most of our Europe shopping here even more than London.

This hotel is near to all the major tourist spots in central Amsterdam and Central station making it very convenient to move on to the next city or airport.
It is clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful. However, the room is very basic and small but can't really complain. It is comparable to other hotels in Amsterdam for the facilities available.

the staff at the reception were very pleasant. the rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. the location is close to the train station and also near the night life. however when a colleague arrived 10 minutes late for breakfast he was not allowed have even a bowl of cereal

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport the best and easiest way to get to the Avenue Hotel is to take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. In just a couple of minutes walk lies the Avenue Hotel, or take tram numbers 1, 2 or 5 and get out at the first stop 'Nieuwezijds Kolk' in front of the hotel.
