Pleasant with the exception of a serious leakage problem with the shower unit; half the bathroom gets flooded after each shower (no exaggeration). Small window is the biggest set back to an otherwise decent room. Can do with more lighting in the room. Good service at the front desk and great dutch pancake served during breakfast.

location was ok, but the rooms where very small, they where clean but old and felt dirty, bathroom was good though. this hotel is 3 star at best, not 4 star. staff where helpfull enough.
whould not stay here again, for the price better off renting an apartment.

Everything was in order when we arrived to Banks Mansion . It was our first time in Amsterdam. We were very impressed with how well organized and friendly the hotel staff are. The communal area for relaxing having refreshments is a fabulous idea and really enhanced our experience of Amsterdam. The use of the computers and Ipads is also a great service. The breakfast was truly delicious! Thank you I wish Canadian hotels would attempt this level of service.

Fantastic hotel in central location

the banks mansion hotel is very centrally located, within walking distance of a square with several nice restaurants. we were there during december, and the square had a 'winter wonderland' with an outdoor ice rink, lots of food and drink stands, and gluhwein to ward off the cold.
the hotel has free wi-fi, and the free snacks and drinks in 'the living' were great to have before going out for a night on the town, and it was lovely to return to some nice cheese and biscuits and a glass of wine in front of the fire before going to bed.

friendly staff, good quiet location away from tourist traps but within 10 minutes walk were great restaurants and shops

We arrived at 8 am and they were able to find us a great room. Room comes with a good breakfast and all drinks are included-spirits as well. Rooms are cozy but the lounge/lobby is an excellent spot to read and enjoy coffee,drinks and some treats all day.
it's a bit expensive but then most accommodation in Amsterdam is. The hotel is in a quiet location but only a 10 minute walk from the main museums and some terrific restautants
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do try the herrings at the stall in Spui suqare and the fries and mayo in the lane just arounf the corner

excellent position. largish rooms by amsterdam standards. staff are lovely. the lounge and free drinks are a bonus! views from the better rooms are lovely.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Queues are shorter for the Anne Frank musuem late at night, or otherwise prebook. Don't miss it!
