Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Very good location; clean, large room; comfortable bed; efficient service; superb views of canal; good local shops and easy access to all areas
Slightly dated decor; noise through floors
Well-situated, with access to the tram network, this is a traditional hotel that makes a change from the identikit features of the larger chains. Some of the features are probably in need of an update, but when you have superb views over Prinsengracht and very clean rooms that outweighs most disadvantages. Some of the floors could do with better soundproofing, especially if you sleep fairly lightly. However, I would recommend this hotel if you can get a good deal, and would certainly have this on my short-list for future visits to Amsterdam.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's worth getting a go-anywhere ticket for the trams/buses/metro - max price €7 per day - although most places are walkable in distance terms the city is not the most pedestrian-friendly and after going out a tram all the way back is a pleasant option.
