Situated at the juncture of five canals, Golden Tulip Apollo Hotel has a unique location at the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel is close to the Riks and Van Gogh Museums and other cultural sites, along with the RAI congress center, World Trade Center and the city's most exclusive shopping streets. Accommodation is provided by 219 rooms, many with views over the canals and all tastefully furnished with everything that's required for a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy Dutch food with a French twist at the hotels' famous La Sirene restaurant, while the lounge bar is an ideal spot for a casual drink.

Good for business centre. Easy access to city centre. A comfortable hotel. Free gym. Internet (chargeable). The meals were a bit too expensive for my corporate business travel allowance. Good location for both the business centre (WTC an easy tram ride on the no 5 or EUR 10 by taxi), and for the centre without being in either. Museums are two tram stops away. My (free upgrade!) Executive room had a nice view of the marina.
A comfortable hotel. And has a gym. Internet available through Swisscom. EUR 10 for one hour. EUR 17 for 24 hrs. EUR 22 for 24 hr faster business connection and free calls to international landlines through an 0800 number.
Nightlife Tip : Easy access to centre, but the local area is very quiet & elegant.
