The staff were very welcoming and helpful here. They were able to give good tips about Amsterdam. I was able to buy my Van Gogh museum ticket here so that I didn't have to stand in the longer of the two queues! The room was tidy and clean, quite small and the bed was not the most comfortable but the room had everything I needed. The location is nice. Away from the busy centre but frequent trams take you easily into the action. The neighbourhood is lovely and the major museums are within 10 mins walk. For its three star status I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything about this hotel was perfect, only 1 of the springs of the bed was loose and the springs could be felt. Otherwise the service was great and breakfast perfect.

Great management team - very friendly. Superb location next to Vondelpark and far enough from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to get there quickly. On tram line #9.
Quite pricey, but expected in Amsterdam because of high demand tourism market. I wish I owned a hotel in this city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Let your nose do the sensing in this city ... it will lead you to all that is worthy!

The most fabulous service possible
I have not one complaint about this hotel

6 continents and 43 countries...I know hotels and this hotel provided the best service I have ever received in my entire life.
The rooms itself are European and typical of what one would expect but the service and value far surpass anything I have ever experienced.
I was greeted warmly by name by the owner, Henke, and provided prompt attention and service by his staff. After my first night, I started to realize there would be a mess in trying to fly out of Schipol and I was indeed was caught in the recent traveling chaos in Europe that also affected Amsterdam. So, you can imagine the traumatic experience I could have had but Henke and his hotel helped to make the time of being stranded bearable and almost enjoyable. He held my room that night and rather than increase the rate due to the limited availability of rooms in the area, he decreased the rate and checked on me daily to ensure that I would not forced to spend any night of my three at the airport on a cot.
So, surviving this ordeal, I have nothing but warm regards and no complaints whatsoever regarding my stay at Hotel Zandbergen and I now an so thankful to consider Henke a friend.
