Hard to imagine a worse hotel
key card lock, close to RR terminal. red light district nearby

was appalled by tiny room - 2 meters wide.. small tv with no remote . no refrigerator, no eating allowed in room. 1 towel per day. no cup, not even plastic. bathroom adequate & shower ok. never got change of sheet in 8 days. staff ok

Contrary to the many negative reviews here, I found this hotel to be extremely nice and value for money. It's location is perfect, especially when travelling during winter time as you can always return to the hotel and use the toilet facilities. Believe me, it is icy cold in Amsterdam and you will need to use the restroom frequently. The Internet connection is great, room is quite large for Aamsterdam standard and the breakfast is adequate. The staircase is not as narrow as others had described here. I surely had a pleasant stay in this hotel.

Good budget option
Great location right in the heart of the city. Close to many of the main attractions.

A coneniently located hotel, ideal for budget/solo traveller. Nothing special, but if you just need a place to rest at the end of a day of sightseeing, then this hotel fits the bill. Breakfast included. The vibe is more like a youth hostel than a hotel, with a mainly younger crowd. A good budget option.

Dont stay here! Its a crappy hotel. The rooms smell like cigarette butt. We stayed on the 3rd flr and they dont have an elevator and the stairs are stiff and unsafe. The only good thing with them is the wifi access and the breakfast since it is served by the bar and resto on the grd flr of the hotel.

It was so convenient to find the hotel, close to train station and also shopping area and red district. But the room is so tiny, the smallest ever. The bed was not good either, I felt I lost in the middle part. There is also strange smell in the room, I don't know why so I have to spray a bit perfum there're. I think it is from the washing powder of towels. The internet is also a problem as I can't receive any signal in my room, has to go to reception. At least the breakfast was nice, right in the restaurant at ground floor but only open from 8, a bit too late for business traveller.

note that this is a motel not hotel
location is the only plus point

room is very small, note that. there is NO elevator hence it is a motel NOT a hotel. in order to reach the reception and your rooms, you have to walk up stair cases which to the third floor is a winding and narrow stair case, hope you do not carry big luggage ;-) some smell in the room as well, the room i had next to the stair case.
only good point is it is located at demrak, easy in and out.

the hotel is located at damrak street and nearby to the main train station in Amsterdam. It is about 10 minute walking distance from the main train station to the hotel. The price for hotel is quite reasonable. the hotel provided free Internet service but only at hotel lobby only and not inside the room. the condition of the room however, is quite old and there is no lift in this hotel. the lobby of the hotel is located at 1st floor so you needs to carry your luggage taking the staircase to the hotel lobby and your room.

I was very satisfied!The room was small, but very clean,and in the morning they changed the towel!No any signs of rats or mice!They could add some veggies or fruits for breakfast, but, for this price, it was OK. Internet in the lobby only - but, again, for this money... Stairway is very steep, but it is explicitly stated on their web site. - and when you travel alone without a lot of luggage.... Overall impression very positive! Solid FOUR out of 5!
