NH Barbizon Place Hotel is a sleek, modern hotel, which showcases an impressive blend of traditional architecture with contemporary design.
Situated opposite the central station in the oldest part of Amsterdam, the hotel occupies a row of 17th century houses, some of which are hidden behind a modern facade. Inside, the glossy, minimalistic lobby gives way to a range of elegantly furnished rooms, fitted with the latest technology. There are several eateries, including the nautical-themed Cafe Hudson, chic Bar Bizonder and Vermeer, which serves a menu of gourmet French and Dutch food in intimate surroundings.

The restaurant is handicapped accessible, has 26 free parking places, the capacity to serve up to 55 people at a time, the possibility to reserve halls for special occasions, and all kinds of credit cards are accepted. Our cuisine offers a pleasant overview of the typical regional specialties as well as international cuisine. You can enjoy your dinner with the best wines from all over the world. Vermeer updates its menu every three months, offering the best combination of food according to the season of the year. Duck with foie gras and salad is one of our recommeded starters; to follow, we recommend the veal sirloin or porkloins.

Just opposite central station.
Beautiful internally.
The location was great as it is right opposite the central station. We were given an upgrade as the room we were initially allocated hadn't been cleaned. They were very accommodating. There are loads of places to eat near the hotel and a small convenience shop next door. Just opposite there is the tourist board and we booked our tickets for Ann Franks house there. It's better to buy them there as then you don't need to queue up when you get there you can just walk straight through. I would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Buy any tickets opposite the hotel at the tourist board.
